Manufacturing Production and Task Tracking - Enterprise Web-Application

A US-based manufacturing company decided to change system architecture technology and use it as an opportunity to further optimize workflows of a web-based enterprise system.

Challenge

The Client's existing web-based enterprise system was used by employees to:

  • Track customer orders as they progressed through the manufacturing production assembly line.
  • Manage tasks associated with each customer order.

In January 2020, the Client decided to transition to a new system architecture. This presented an opportunity to reevaluate and optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and modernize the system’s visual design to better support employees’ day-to-day tasks.

Solution

Garofalo UX collaborated closely with the Client to deliver solutions tailored to the organization’s needs:

  • Workflow Optimization: Worked with the Client to analyze and improve the efficiency of employee tasks, refining workflows within the web application for better usability and productivity.
  • Visual Design Update: Implemented an updated visual design by applying a modern CSS framework theme, ensuring the system was visually appealing and easy to navigate.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Created rapid prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to validate proposed designs and workflows, ensuring they met user needs and business objectives.
